Nunu ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Nunu app.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes via Supabase Auth.

Baby Profile: You may provide your baby's name, date of birth, and developmental information to personalise the app experience. This data is stored securely and used solely to provide relevant guidance.

Sleep & Feeding Logs: Data you enter about your baby's sleep patterns, naps, and feeding is stored to provide tracking features and personalised recommendations.

Mood Check-ins: Your daily mood entries are stored to provide wellbeing tracking and contextual support.

Chat Messages: Messages you send in the Nunu chat are processed by OpenAI's GPT-4o API to generate responses. The following data is sent to OpenAI when you use the chat feature: your chat messages, your baby's sleep and nap data, and your baby's age in months. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy and does not use API inputs to train their models. You are asked for explicit consent before any data is sent to OpenAI, and you may decline AI chat features while still using all other app features.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalised sleep, feeding, and developmental guidance
• Power the AI chat assistant with context about your baby
• Track and display your baby's sleep patterns and milestones
• Provide daily mood check-ins and wellbeing support
• Improve the app experience

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Guest users' data is stored locally on-device only.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
• OpenAI — AI chat processing (API mode, no training on your data)
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Vercel — App hosting

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above as necessary to operate the app.

Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data through the app's Settings page
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Export your data upon request
• Opt out of AI chat features (your data will not be sent to OpenAI)

Children's Privacy

Nunu is designed for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The baby profile information is provided by the parent/caregiver.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app.
